We had great turnout this month for Sam Beam's presentation, No SQL, No Problem. Covering the history SQL, the NoSQL movement, and then diving deep into MongoDB and Ruby, Sam gave a great talk and moderated some lively discussion.

Thanks Brian for setting it up and providing support and advice along the way. And thanks to all of you that came out – it was an honor and a privilege. And a lot of fun.
BTW a bit of errata – I’ve been informed by a 10gen employee that I overstated the problem of Eventual Consistency. In a standalone or sharded setup, Mongo is Consistent with a capital C. It’s only when you read from multiple slaves that you may have EC – but this is entirely due to your setup, not the nature of Mongo.
